Rowers News

Rowers is now on our regular summer hiatus and will see you for more readings in the fall when we move to our new venue Supermarket in Kensington Market on the first (or occasionally second) Tuesday of the month. We also wanted to share some news.

The Rowers Reading Series is delighted to announce that we have just received funding again from the Ontario Arts Council and Canada Council for the Arts. Many thanks to both Councils and to the Toronto Arts Council for their ongoing support.

On a very sad note, Rowers co-founder Ned Hagerman passed away last week. His obituary is http://v1.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/Deaths.20160616.93375918/BDAStory/BDA/deaths. Ned was wonderful, kind and generous human being and a great friend to literary community. Our sincerest condolences to his partner Beverley and all of Ned’s family and friends. Ned will be greatly missed.
