The Rowers Reading Series is a monthly literary reading series showcasing the finest poetry, fiction and non-fiction writers from diverse backgrounds, as well as select emerging writers. The series incorporated in May 2007.

Held on the first Tuesday of every month, the series runs from October to June. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the first reading begins at 7 pm. We are currently hosted at Glad Day Bookshop at 499 Church Street in Toronto.

Huge thanks to Glad Day Bookshop for the use of its venue. Thanks also to our previous host Supermarket.

Normally, three to four readers are featured per night, with a short break between the first and second set. There is no open stage. We encourage our audience to mingle with the writers during breaks and, of course, to buy their books!

The current board members of the Rowers Reading Series are: Heather J. Wood, Sue Bowness, Megan Swaine and Jennifer D. Foster.
