Q: How do you choose your readers?
A: We solicit feature readers well in advance. See our “Submissions” page guidelines for more information.
Q: For how long does each writer read?
A: Reading time is 15 minutes.
Q: Does the series represent a variety of genres?
A: We feature poets, fiction and non-fiction writers on the same night, and we aim to present a diverse lineup.
Q: When do you start and how does the evening run?
A: Our posted start time is 6:45 pm with the readings beginning at 7:00 pm. You’re welcome to arrive early and take advantage of Glad Day’s food and drink menu.
Q: Is there an entry fee?
A: No, there is no cover charge. We encourage you to patronize the bar, as we are grateful to Glad Day for hosting us.
Q: I’m one of your lucky readers. Any special instructions?
A: Bring books to sell and invite your friends and family members. Please promote the event on your various networks. If you teach locally, please invite your students.
Q: What is accessibility like at your venue?
A: Glad Day is accessible. Closest accessible transit is Wellesley subway station. There is a some parking on Church Street.
